Editorial Policy
The rules we use to keep search marketing content useful, attributable, current and honest about its limitations.
Effective: 15 October 2026 · Last reviewed: 15 October 2026
Purpose and scope
This policy applies to RevGen service pages, guides, tools, case studies and research. Content is written to help UK pest-control operators and private clinics make better marketing decisions, not to manufacture search traffic or replace legal, clinical, financial or data-protection advice.
Editorial principles
- Answer the user’s real question clearly before introducing RevGen’s service.
- Prefer first-hand account evidence and primary official sources over unsourced summaries.
- Keep platform conversions, enquiries, appointments, jobs and revenue as distinct measures.
- Identify reporting periods, currencies, data sources and material limitations beside performance claims.
- Do not invent authors, reviewers, credentials, clients, reviews, business locations or accreditations.
- Do not promise rankings, Map Pack positions, lead volumes or clinical outcomes.
Authorship and review
Each article has an accountable author or publishing organisation and a publication or update date. Material clinical statements should be reviewed by an appropriately qualified professional nominated by the clinic. Regulatory or legal interpretation is checked against current primary guidance and escalated to a qualified adviser where a client decision depends on it.
Healthcare and regulated content
RevGen may explain marketing implications of official guidance, but it does not diagnose, recommend treatment or act as a regulator. Healthcare pages distinguish marketing review from clinical approval. Advertising eligibility is rechecked because platform policy and UK requirements can change.
Commercial independence
A page may link to RevGen services when relevant. Commercial intent does not change the evidence threshold. Paid relationships, affiliate links or sponsored contributions will be disclosed where they exist; RevGen does not currently use affiliate links in its published guides.
Updates
Dates are changed only when the page receives a material review or update. Material changes include new primary guidance, corrected evidence, revised methodology or substantial improvements to the answer—not punctuation or a cosmetic republish.
